An edible mushroom belonging to the tooth fungus group. Native to North America, Europe, and Asia, it can be identified by its long spines, occurrence on hardwoods, and tendency to grow a single clump of dangling spines.
Lion's Mane mushrooms contain many beneficial plant compounds. Research suggests these compounds may stimulate the growth of new brain cells, improve depression and anxiety, and support gut, heart, and immune health.
This cross between an Elm Oyster and a Blue Oyster grows in large clusters, their pins mature into a deep blue hue soon developing into large, beautiful caps with meaty white stems.
Research suggests the compounds in these gourmet mushrooms may boost the immune system, have anti-inflammatory properties, assist in preventing tumor occurrences, and contain Antimicrobial and Antiviral elements.
