1. Eat right out of the container as a wholesome snack. Excellent for backpacking and camping. They hold more of their nutritional value than their canned or frozen counterparts so serve them to your family with confidence. Enjoy the fresh flavor of mushrooms any time.
2. Add water and dried mushrooms (approximately 1 cup of water per every ½ ounce of mushrooms) to a saucepan that can hold the mushrooms snugly and keep them submerged. Bring to a boil and cover, reduce the heat to medium-low, and simmer until the mushrooms are tender, 15 to 30 minutes.
3. You can follow the above instruction, instead leaving the pan uncovered adding water or broth until the mushrooms are tender, then add some salted butter or favorite seasoning after the liquid evaporates. Sautee’ to desired doneness.
4. ‘Powder’ the mushrooms in a food processor or magic bullet and add to a soup or sauce as a thickener.
5. Add to a crock pot recipe and prepare per the recipe’s instructions. Always a great addition to Instant Pot soup recipes.
