Lion's Main Mushroom

Lion's Mane

An edible mushroom belonging to the tooth fungus group. Native to North America, Europe, and Asia, it can be identified by its long spines, occurrence on hardwoods, and tendency to grow a single clump of dangling spines.

Lion's Mane mushrooms contain many beneficial plant compounds. Research suggests these compounds may stimulate the growth of new brain cells, improve depression and anxiety, and support gut, heart, and immune health.

This variety is Ganoderma multipileum, also known as Antler Reishi which can act as a potent immune system regulator, a promising anti-cancer agent, and a stress reducer.  This mushroom is frequently used in traditional Chinese Medicine.
